Tenuta La Chiusa is a farm that stands out for its tradition, attention to nature, and the surrounding land. At our shop, guests can taste our fine wine and olive oil, bringing home a delicious memory of their vacation.

We are committed to promoting outdoor tourism, encouraging our guests to connect directly with the land and discover the unique biodiversity of the island.

In addition, we offer the opportunity to organize tastings of local products.

The Wine

The farm uses grapes from our vineyards, cultivated to produce Elba DOC and IGP wines. The production philosophy is focused on white wines, particularly suited to the warm climate of the island of Elba and highly appreciated during the summer.

We offer 5 labels of white wines that evoke summer, the sea, and fish, representing the essence of the island.

The red wines, on the other hand, tell our story and are made from Sangiovese grapes, reflecting the Tuscan winemaking tradition.

Our rosé wine is perfect for pairing with summer appetizers and more, wonderful when paired with cold cuts, fresh tomatoes, and grilled meats.

All our wines are available for purchase at the company shop, and during the summer, we offer guests the opportunity to taste them to discover their unique characteristics.

Oil

On the Island of Elba, traditional olive trees are cultivated, producing an excellent extra virgin olive oil certified under the IGP Toscana (Protected Geographical Indication) label. The estate’s olive trees are among the oldest on the island, with some specimens exceeding 400 years, spread across an area of 3 hectares with four different types of olives.

The oil from Tenuta la Chiusa is characterized by an intense and complex aroma, featuring notes of freshly cut grass, straw, and arugula. On the palate, it has a slight bitterness and spiciness typical of Tuscan tradition. Ideal for drizzling raw, it is perfect for dressing dishes and salads. It is obtained using the first cold pressing method, thus preserving all the organoleptic and health qualities of our olives.
