Vermentino

"Orto delle Fanciulle"

IGP

White

The flagship wine of the estate, Vermentino IGP “Orto delle Fanciulle”, is a complex wine made from a CRU of Vermentino vines. These vines thrive in flat clay-iron-rich soils and are harvested in mid-September with on-vine overripening. The wine undergoes white vinification in steel tanks, with temperature control during fermentation. In winter, it undergoes continuous bâtonnage to enhance the aromas of the fine lees on which it rests. Bottled in the spring following the harvest, this cold-macerated Vermentino has a straw-yellow color. On the nose, it reveals floral aromas of orange blossom, hints of citrus, ripe fruit, and banana. On the palate, it is soft, savory, mineral, and persistent.
